Attack of the Buns
Snaps from a soggy Easter Attack of the Buns ride
Attack of the Buns is an incredibly scenic Bikepacking route from Bungendore to Bundanoon. It traverses Tallanganda, the Budawangs, and Morton NP. I rode it with 9 friends over three days this Easter, and here’s a few of the pictures I took:
Day 1 - Bungendore to Nerriga

Day 2 - Nerriga to Nowra
The section just after Nerriaga Hotel was extremely beautiful, but also quite slow going.

After lunch though, the trails smoothed out and we made good time into Nowra!
Day 3 - Nowra to Bundanoon

Meryla Pass lived in our heads rent free for most of the ride, but despite the struggles was very scenic.
After reaching the top of the pass, we time trialled it in for our 6pm Bundanoon pub booking! This was an absolute classic bikepacking trip, and really had it all: pubs, bakeries, locked gates, hike a bike, beautiful national parks, mechanicals, and great friends.
